Myosotis, also known as Myosotis palustris, is a ground-covering aquatic plant with small blue flowers that closely resemble the well-known forget-me-not. This plant contributes to a healthy pond by converting toxic nitrite into nitrate, which Aquatic plants then be absorbed by other Aquatic plants . A vigorous grower that helps improve water quality and brighten up the pond. This plant grows as a creeping groundcover along the shore or in shallow water and blooms early in the season. It often continues to bloom until the first frost. Myosotis rapidly via runners in the soil or as floating mats. The flowers attract insects and give the pond’s edge a natural, lively appearance. Runners are easy to control with pruning shears if you want to limit growth. Our marsh forget-me-nots are grown without any artificial methods in our own nursery and are fully hardy. The plant returns every year, stays green even during mild winters, and requires almost no maintenance. For a balanced pond, we recommend 2 baskets, each containing 4 plants per 1,000 liters of water, for a total of 8 Aquatic plants. No matter what I tried, the water in my pond just wouldn't clear up. After exchanging a few emails, I decided to order this complete kit, though to be honest, I wasn't very confident it would work.
