Day 1: Add INSTA CLEAN.
- Apply per 1,000–20,000 L 1 packet of INSTA CLEAN (1 L) evenly over the water surface.
- For swimming ponds, use INSTA CLEAN only in the plant filter.
The pump and filter can remain on, but they are not necessary in a well-designed natural pond.

Day 3: Add BACTA CLEAR .
- Pour the entire bottle of BACTA CLEAR into the pond all BACTA CLEAR once.
This supports bacterial growth, keeps the water clear, and helps restore the biological balance.

Day 30: Repeat INSTA CLEAN.
- Sprinkle the second packet of INSTA CLEAN (1L) evenly over the water surface again.
This second dose promotes further breakdown of sludge and organic waste and helps keep the system stable.
⚠️ Note: After adding the product, the water may temporarily turn white or slightly cloudy. This is normal and means that INSTA CLEAN is working. The water will clear up on its own.
Use this cycle every spring and fall.
I know from experience that preventive maintenance is always cheaper than having to treat algae, remove sludge, or replace plants later on.
The difference between our bacteria
POND CARE combines two types of bacteria, each of which works in its own way. Together, they provide a complete solution.

INSTA CLEAN
Bacteria in a dormant state that become active immediately upon contact with water and break down organic waste, sludge, and sediment.
- Form: Powder / granules
- Shelflife: Very long (2–3 years unopened)
- Activation: Become active as soon as they touch water
- Stability: Very stable during transport and storage
- Concentration: Very high per gram

BACTA CLEAR
Active bacteria in a liquid solution that clarify the water immediately upon addition and restore the biological balance.
- Form: Liquid
- Shelflife: 6–12 months
- Activation: Takes effect immediately after adding
- Stability: More sensitive to temperature
- Concentration: Lower per ml
Comparison at a glance
| Feature | INSTA CLEAN (freeze-dried) | BACTA CLEAR liquid) |
|---|---|---|
| Form | Powder or granules | Liquid |
| Storage method | Stabilized by freeze-drying | Active bacteria in solution |
| Shelf life | 2–3 years (unopened) | 6–12 months |
| Activation | If it comes into contact with water | Effective immediately |
| Stability | Highly stable during transport and storage | More sensitive to heat and handling |
| Concentration | Very high per gram | Lower per ml |
| Usage | Scatter across the water's surface | Pour directly into water |
| Primary function | Break down sludge and organic waste | Clear water & ecological balance |
INSTA CLEAN (freeze-dried) is extremely stable, highly concentrated, and effectively breaks down sludge and bottom debris. The bacteria "awaken" in the water and multiply on the spot.
BACTA CLEAR (liquid) works immediately after addition and focuses on water clarity and restoring the biological balance in your pond.
Together, they tackle two problems at once: removing sludge and clarifying the water. That makes POND CARE a complete maintenance package.
Frequently Asked Questions

You can add the POND CARE package as soon as the daytime temperature remains stable at 5 degrees Celsius or higher. Below 5 degrees Celsius, bacteria are barely active. Once the daytime temperature reaches 5 degrees Celsius, they slowly start working again and can break down waste products.
POND CARE combines sludge breakdown with water clarity. INSTA CLEAN breaks down organic waste, while BACTA CLEAR clarifies BACTA CLEAR water and supports the biological balance.
POND CARE operates on a 30-day cycle. You’ll often notice an improvement in water clarity as early as day 3. You should assess the results after 30 to 60 days, once the biological process has stabilized.
Yes. POND CARE is 100% natural and safe for fish, koi, plants, pets, and people. In swimming ponds, use INSTA CLEAN only in the plant filter.
The pump and filter can remain on. It is best to turn off the UV lamp for 3 weeks after adding BACTA CLEAR, as UV light also breaks down beneficial bacteria.
In that case, the problem almost always lies at the bottom of the pond, such as too few plants, insufficient substrate, or an excessive number of fish. Adding more fertilizer won’t help.
