6 Care Instructions for Mini Plants
Discover how to keep your mini plants vibrant and healthy with our handy care tips. Mini plants bring a touch of natural beauty in a compact size, making them ideal for small spaces or as a sophisticated green accent on your desk or windowsill.

1. Planting Mini Plants
Place your mini plants in a spot with plenty of indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight and proximity to heat sources such as radiators can be harmful. These small evergreens prefer a constant temperature between 15 and 25°C for optimal growth.

2. Proper Watering
Mini plants in small pots dry out faster than larger plants. To prevent them from drying out, place the plants in a saucer of water regularly (about once a week, depending on the humidity and temperature) so that the soil can absorb the water from below. Let them sit for about 15 minutes so that the soil absorbs enough water. Then check to see if the soil is saturated by feeling it.
3. Preventing Dehydration
Watch for signs of dehydration, such as wilted leaves or soil pulling away from the edges of the pot. These signs indicate that the plant needs to be watered immediately. Keep in mind that the soil in small pots can be so dry that water seeps through without being absorbed. Be patient and make sure the water is fully absorbed.

4. Humidity and Temperature
Mini plants are sensitive to changes in their environment. Maintain stable humidity and temperature levels to minimize stress on the plants. Consider using a humidifier during drier months or placing the plants in a spot where they are protected from direct heat or drafts.
5. Light and Growth
Rotate the pots regularly to ensure even growth and prevent the plants from leaning too much toward a single light source. This helps maintain compact and healthy growth.
6. Additional Nutrition
Consider giving your mini plants a diluted liquid plant food during the growing season (spring and summer) to give them an extra boost. Always follow the instructions on the package to avoid overfeeding.
By following these care tips, your mini plants will stay healthy and strong and add a touch of green to your space. They may be small, but they make a big impact!
Frequently Asked Questions About Mini Plants

It’s best to take the mini plants out of the packaging as soon as you receive them, place them in a bright spot, and water them occasionally. Did you order moss as well? You can store the moss in the refrigerator, still in its bag, to keep it looking fresh. When it’s time to give the gift, you can put the plants and moss back in the packaging for a moment.
In an ecosystem, there are plants that are generally adapted to high humidity and can survive without additional food. These include ferns, carnivorous plants, and houseplants.

Plants that stay small include air plants (Tillandsia), mini cacti, and succulents. The varieties we harvest fresh daily from our nursery are compact varieties that grow to about 5 cm.
If your succulent is dropping a lot of leaves or if the leaves are changing color, this may indicate that it’s getting too much water or not enough light. If your plant gets too big and you decide to prune it, it’s best to cut off a section from the top of the stem.
We always pack the mini plants in sets of five in a blister pack to ensure they are well protected during shipping. Unfortunately, we cannot pack them individually, as there is a risk that the plants would not arrive in good condition.
Our mini houseplants are suitable for planting in a closed ecosystem. Our mini succulents and mini cacti are not suitable for a closed plant terrarium.
