  • Please note: does not include a pond basket; the bowl serves as the basket
  • (B) POND CLAY Aquatic plants – 5 L
  • (C) 2 Lotus rhizomes
  • (D) Scale
  • (E) STEP ONE filter substrate – 5 L
  • (F) Cladophora Aegagropila – 5 pieces
  • (G) Ceratophyllum demersum – 2 L
  • (H) BACTA TAB

Tip: Lotus plants do not Pond soil .

Setting up the pond basket
  1. Place the empty (A) Pond Basket on a stable surface.
  2. Fill the Pond baskets two-thirds Pond baskets with (B) POND CLAY – 5 L.
  3. Place the (C) Lotus rhizome in the center of the basket with the growing tips and leaves facing upward.
  4. Fill the pond liner with (B) POND CLAY to 5 cm below the top of the pond liner.

  1. Place the (D) tray in the desired location.
  2. Fill the mini pond with (E) POND SUBSTRATE – 5 L
    (Use approximately 50%).
  3. Fill the bowl 70% full with clay
  4. Place 2 (C) Lotus rhizomes on the clay
  5. Fill the bowl with clay
  6. Fill the mini pond with (E) POND SUBSTRATE – 5 L
    (enough for a thin, even layer – you don’t need to use all of the substrate).
  7. Fill the bowl with tap water.
    (not rainwater)
  8. Add (F) Cladophora Aegagropila – 5 pieces.
  9. Next, add (G) Ceratophyllum demersum – 2 L.
  10. Add (H) BACTA TAB.
